Also Toshiba Semiconductor Company Group contributes to the development of a sustainable society by promoting environmental activities designed to contribute to the realization of a world that is low-carbon, recycling-based and nature-harmonious.

Policy

Toshiba Electronics Europe GmbH considers environmental stewardship to be one of the management’s primary responsibilities.

Toshiba Electronics Europe GmbH strives to take the environment into consideration in its business activities such as distribution, sales, services, and aims to contribute to the development of a sustainable society by supplying products that consider environmental impact, and by realizing energy saving and reduction of resource usage in equipment in which semiconductor devices or other electronic devices and components are installed.


1.    Compliance and Sustainability

1. Toshiba Electronics Europe GmbH commits to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, industry guidelines it has endorsed, and its own standards concerning the environment.
2. Toshiba Electronics Europe GmbH strives to continuously improve and effectively apply its environmental management system and environmental activities through internal audits and reviews.

2.    Execution

Toshiba Electronics Europe GmbH strives to assess the environmental aspects of its business activities including with regard to biodiversity, to set objectives and targets with respect to the reduction of environmental impact and pollution prevention, and to execute proactive environmental measures including the following:

1. Striving to reduce environmental impact such as global warming by supporting Toshiba Electronic Device & Components Group in developing and supplying products and services that are evaluated for such impacts;
2. Facilitating mutual understanding with stakeholders by disclosing information through public relations, exhibitions, and mass-media regarding products and technologies from the environmental viewpoint, and collaborating with local communities and society at large;
3. Striving to enhance the awareness of employees with respect to environmental management, and considering the environment in business activities and process.

Toshiba Electronics Europe GmbH discloses this Environmental Policy to the public, promotes awareness of this Environmental Policy throughout Toshiba Electronics Europe GmbH, and promotes its business according to this Statement.
