in-house four-element LED chip technology (InGaAlP). This leads to Higher
Visibility, Low Power Consumption and High Reliability for the whole Toshiba
LED line-up. The InGaAlP LED-devices cover all colours from red (630 nm) to
pure green (560 nm).
Toshiba’s LED lamps feature more new color variations to meet our customers’ different needs. These series are available in surface-mount packages for use in end products that are small and thin. These LED lamps are used in a variety of applications, such as backlighting for LCDs
and switches, compact portable and battery-operated devices.

Toshiba is one of major suppliers for LEDs in Automotive Applications, especially for backlighting of
Instrument Panels, Car Radios, Navigation Systems, Climate Control Units. The main Series is the
TLxE1100-Series, which is in PLCC2 package.
