Peripheral ICs line up

Cellular phones, both clamshell and sliding styles, will continue to evolve with a variety of user interfaces.  To address their mechanical and electrical challenges, Toshiba offers a family of highly integrated peripheral ICs: the TC358720XBG and TC358721XBG, MDDIŽ-based VEGAMagiq display buffers; the TC358732XBG, TC358731XBG and TC358733XBG, MIPIŽ-based display buffers; and the TC35890XBG, TC35892XBG, TC35893XBG and TC35894XBG I/O Expanders.

The I/O Expander allows typical baseband or application processor packages to be kept at a minimum pin count by enabling I/O pin expansion at the location where needed.  Display buffers support not only high-speed serial interfaces for image data transmission but also traditional interfaces for peripheral device control.
