A predriver amplifies the small output current of an MCU to a level which is usable to drive power devices.
It should provide a low impedance source to the discrete IGBT's or modules.
As such the output pulse current should be high in order to achieve a fast driving of the connected power devices so that losses in the main switches are minimized.
