Capricorn M/L Concept

Capricorn-M/L stands for a highly integrated embedded microprocessor with graphical display controller unit, delivering an outstanding system performance which could not be achieved so far using conventional multi chip approaches.

Automotive designers can now start generating qualitative systems of which realizability was not possible in the past and failed due to either too high component cost or missing computational power.

The Capricorn-M/L implements a powerful 64-bit RISC MIPS based core, including a IEEE754 compliant Floating Point Unit (FPU), and a GDC which itself makes use of an embedded graphics accelerator engine.  Capricorn-M/L supports automotive designers in realizing applications like:
