Hitoshi Otsuka, President, Toshiba Electronics Europe GmbH
Mr Otsuka joins Toshiba Electronics Europe from the
headquarters of Toshiba’s Semiconductor Company in Tokyo, where
he was the senior manager of the Asia Department for the
Electronic Device Sales and Marketing division.
Mr Otsuka holds a bachelor degree in economics from Tokyo University and
a masters degree in business administration from Columbia University in the
United States. He has been with Toshiba since 1983 and during his career he
has had a number of senior roles at Toshiba’s offices. From 1998 to
1999 he was core member in the corporate six sigma deployment team.
Recently as part of a Sales & Marketing Alliance with Semiconductor
customers and partners he was involved in the launch of the software centre
in India.
Based at the Toshiba Electronics Europe headquarters in Düsseldorf, Mr
Otsuka takes over the position of president from Mr Ryoichi Shikama, who
held the role from 2005 to 2008.
